Sierra Particle Technologies, LLC Description: Sierra Particle Technologies, LLC (SPT) is a "spin-off" from the aerosol and particle technology research groups at the University of Nevada Reno (UNR) and the Desert Research Institute (DRI) in Reno, Nevada. The founding members of SPT are recognized researchers, faculty members, and students from UNR, DRI and Harvard University, and have proven track records and expertise in the fields of aerosol and combustion science, and particle technology. SPT develops and commercializes new technologies in the fields of aerosol and material sciences, and supplies state-of-the-art services for particle and powder characterization. SPT strives to provide our customers and collaborators with novel technologies and services focused on the following fields: Production and processing of aerosols and nanomaterials Characterization of particles at nano, micro, and bulk scales Modeling and simulation of particles and particle-formation processes.
